Join Say So Collective at The Yard this half term for a fun, creative theatre-making workshop. We will play some fun and energising drama games to build confidence and break the ice. Then we will explore a range of imaginative play and immersive storytelling exercises to create some unique ideas and performances.
You don’t need any prior drama experience - just come along and give it a go!
Parents are welcome to join in the fun, have a quiet coffee while you wait, or leave your little ones with us and come back and collect them at the end of the session.
See you there!
WHO:Ages 5-7

FAQS
1) Q:Does my child need to have any Drama experience?
A:Not at all! This session is suitable for all levels.
2) Q: My child's friends are all in the older workshop group. Can they go to that one instead?
A: We can be flexible with the age boundaries of groups, especially if your child is very nearly old enough to move up. Get in touch to discuss.
3) Q: My child is not very confident and is worried about coming. Is it suitable for them?
A:The session offers a very supportive atmosphere where we don't put any pressure on participants to perform beyond their comfort zone. We usually find that they are willing to have a go by the end and feel really proud of themselves.
4) Q: Is there a group for younger / older participants?
A:Yes, we are also running workshops for ages 8-11s and 12-16s. See details on the website: www.saysocollective.co.uk/bookaworkshop
5) Q: My child has special or additional needs - is the workshop suitable?
A:If your child usually has 1:1 support in school, or requires assistance with toileting, then they will need to have a parent or carer with them who can support them when needed. Please call before booking to discuss how best we can include and support your child.
6) Q: Can I stay and watch the session?
A: Parents are welcome to come and join in the fun. However, sometimes, we find that children tend to come out of their shells much more willingly once their parents have left the space. We have a separate casual coffee space in the adjoining studio, so you are welcome to play it by ear and wait in the breakout space, if that helps your child feel more secure.
7) Q: The price of the workshop is a little beyond my budget. Do you offer any concessions?
A: We don’t want the cost to prevent a young person from being able to take part. We are a small, emerging company but as long as we have enough participants to make the workshop financially viable, we are able to offer a 15% discount to a small number of participants, on a case by case basis. Please get in touch if this applies to you and we’ll work something out.
