Join Say So Collective at The Yard this half term, for an inspiring theatre-making workshop. Build confidence through playing fun and energising drama games. Then, explore a range of creative theatre skills like acting, devising scripting and directing.
You don't need to have any acting experience to join in, just a willingness to have a giggle and have a go! You might even make some new friends. If you're feeling nervous, bring a buddy.
The workshop will be led by company Director, Lydia Frater who has over 16 years of teaching and directing experience in schools and theatres across London and the South West. She specialises in devising quirky new work with young people. She has full DBS clearance and safeguarding training so your little ones are in safe hands.
See you there!

FAQS
1) Q:Does my child need to have any Drama experience?
A:Not at all! This session is suitable for all levels.
2) Q:My child's friends are all in the older workshop group. Can they go to that one instead?
A: We can be flexible with the age boundaries of groups, especially if your child is very nearly old enough to move up. Get in touch to discuss.
3) Q: My child is not very confident and is worried about coming. Is it suitable for them?
A:The session offers a very supportive atmosphere where we don't put any pressure on participants to perform beyond their comfort zone. We usually find that they are willing to have a go by the end and feel really proud of themselves.
4) Q: Is there a group for younger / older participants?
A:Yes, we are also running workshops for ages 12-16 and 5-7. See details on the website: www.saysocollective.co.uk/bookaworkshop
5) Q: My child has special or additional needs - is the workshop suitable?
A:If your child usually has 1:1 support in school, or requires assistance with toileting, then they will need to have a parent or carer with them who can support them when needed. Please call before booking to discuss how best we can include and support your child.
6) Q: Can I stay and watch the session?
A: Oddly enough, we find that children tend to come out of their shells much more willingly once their parents have left the space. However, if this is a huge barrier to your child joining in, then you are welcome to stay. Please let us know in advance if you would like to stay for the session as we have limited space.
7) Q: The price of the workshop is a little beyond my budget. Do you offer any concessions.
A: We don’t want the cost to prevent a young person from being able to take part. We are a small, emerging company but as long as we have enough participants to make the workshop financially viable, we are able to offer a 15% discount to a small number of participants, on a case by case basis. Please get in touch if this applies to you and we’ll work something out.
